“We moved to the property seven years ago and it has been a much loved family home ever since. The location satisfies all our needs as a family, both city and country life, and the sense of community in the area is outstanding. We know most of the people on the street and the estate through our daughters being at Sandhills Community Primary School and on our daily dog walks. The residents are either established professionals, usually with children, young professionals or retired residents who have lived in the estate for a really long time. When we took on the property 7 years ago, we did a lot of renovation work including knocking down the wall between the dining room and the small kitchen that was there beforehand and having a purpose built Howdens kitchen installed. In addition, nearly all of the rooms have been replastered, redecorated, new flooring installed or restored, and new carpets were laid throughout. We replaced the windows and a new bathroom was put in 4 years ago. We recognise we could extend the property further, and debated whether to do this for a long time, but we have a very young family and it isn’t practical for us”
