Its town centre, which is a 6 minute walk from the property, offers its local shops, cafes, bars and restaurants, a Waitrose, a nearby Lidl,  along with its popular marketplace.  There is also a Town Hall, the Corn Exchange Theatre and places of interest close by including Winterbrook House which was the home of author Agatha Christie .  It is believed that she based her home on her character Miss Marple, Danemead in the village of St Mary Mead on Winterbrook House. You will find a bronze bench in memorial to her placed in front of the Wallingford Museum.

The River Thames footpath is also within walking distance with all its splendour, ideal to sit relax, watch the boats passing through or the rowers from Wallingford Rowing Club.  There are numerous sporting clubs and activities on offer within the town. There is a full range of state and private schools covering all age groups. It even has its own maternity and birthing centre.

This historic town is located within easy access to the M4, M40 and A34, and Harwell campus. Mainline stations can be found at nearby Cholsey and Didcot, servicing London Paddington and Oxford and there are regular bus services to Reading, Oxford and surrounding villages.
