In the owners words:
“This has been our much loved family home. We moved here when our youngest son was 1 year old and had 3 older children visiting on a regular basis from previous relationships. It has been excellent flexible space that has changed as our family grew and their needs changed. For example, the downstairs room has been bedroom, playroom, snug, study and studio. The open downstairs has made it possible to gather and entertain the wider family for special occasions, bringing 4 generations together.

We really value the privacy and openness of the garden spending a lot of time in the conservatory or our secluded patio. The garden office/studio has been a lovely relaxing place to work and look out on the garden. There are some fantastic sunsets over the fields at the back. Finmere has been a great place to be able to access the country, being able to walk/cycle from the house into lovely farming countryside and enjoying nature. We wanted our son to grow up and enjoy village/country life, in a small and close community. When he comes back to visit, he still stops to talk to everyone. The small green in front of the house is a safe area for small children to play under the trees. As he grew older the children played in the fields behind the house and up at the playing field. A few local hills were great for tobogganing in the snow!

The local school was brilliant for him, being so small all the pupils knew and helped each other. The staff ratios meant that he had very focused input from the staff. Work meant we also needed to be able to commute to Milton Keynes, London, Banbury and Oxford. Finmere is brilliantly placed for this”
