Location: 
Holton is a small village that seems to be a village in two parts. Most of the village is spread along a quiet cul-de-sac, although further on you come across further houses, and then finally the village church, St. Bartholomew's. Between the church and the main part of the village is the village hall. Prominent in the village is the Wheatley Park Secondary School complex which includes the Georgian former Holton Park. Holton Park was built in the deer park of the original manor house early in the 19th century when the manor house was demolished. The stables, dovecote and moat of the old house still survive. St. Bartholomew's Church was built around 1200. It is cruciform and is in the transitional style between Norman architecture and Early English Gothic. On the outskirts of the village next to the A40 trunk road is the campus of Oxford Brookes University and the M40 corridor

“We have lived at Apple Tree for over 4 years and has been a home to our 4 children who have now all flown the nest and no longer live around here,. We have loved and still enjoy the variety of wildlife that we see on a daily basis, foxes, buzzards, rabbits, woodpeckers, badgers, the occasional deer and have rescued a family of baby ducklings recently, the calm, quiet and space that we have and enjoy. There are walks on your doorstop and great for cycling around the country lanes. We have had two weddings here for our daughters with marquees and a festival theme for both of them. We grow our own grapes and have produced for the first time in 2019 from the white and red grapes a Blush wine. 

We have worked from home at Apple Tree Barn the whole time we have lived here it is an ideal setting internet Broadband speeds are excellent, 2 phone lines into the house and 2 hubs.. It is a great location for the 3 businesses we run from home as it sits on the M40 corridor between London and Birmingham. A large parking area for meetings if needs be. We will miss the space of the house and garden but we want to be nearer our daughter in Dorset who is having her first child and our first grandchild.”
