In the owners words:
“Churchill Road has been the family home of my wife Rosey and I for the most of our wedded lives. The house was only 6 years old when we moved here 42 years ago (1978) from Brackley to be nearer work and to build an education for our daughter who was only 6 years old at the time. The main reason we chose it was because of the proximity of what would be her new school, Glory Farm Primary School, she could reach it without even crossing the road and would not be hampered in her education by bad weather. Also, local amenities were perfect as well for us as a family.
Everything you need is in easy walking distance (well it was before Arthritis kicked in). This is really the only reason we are selling. The stairs, for me, are becoming increasingly difficult. Old age has crept up on us at last, so it is time for someone else to take on what has for us, been a fabulous home. We have raised our daughter and a lot of the time, her children.
We love this house, or should I say home and so will you. As you will see when you come to view it, all the great changes we have done over the years. So much space, we have had so many people stay here with barely any inconvenience. Due to its age, the bedrooms are large in comparison to the smaller new builds. The integral garage was converted into a dining room and a large garage with workspace build the whole length of the house. My wife, Rosey said she would a Utility room and a downstairs cloakroom, so we created this at the rear of the garage along with what is probably the most used and loved family room. The house has been fully insulated. Cavity walls done, recently replaced double glazing, roof fully insulated. Gas central heating fitted and checked annually without fail. A nice sized walled, easy low maintenance rear garden. Lots of space in front of house a minimum of 3 cars excluding garage. Cars may also be parked at the side of the house in Somerville Drive. Access to Somerville via the side gate. Again, the front of the house is extremely low maintenance including blocked driveway. When people come to our house, they say it is like the Tardis, which you will understand when you come to view it.
Most are amazed at the huge amount of ground space. We love this house, full of lots of memories, but needs must. Come and see it you will realise what a wonderful home it is and why we are so reluctant to leave. If you are wise; you will make it yours. Please feel free to come and see it.”
